The diversity of experiences and challenges that accompany a modern musician’s career are beautiful and messy. I’m consistently astounded by my peers and I feel privileged and humbled to work among them. I have played and collaborated with the following artists and orchestras: Syracuse Orchestra, Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble X, the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, On Site Opera, American Symphony Orchestra, Ron Carter's Nonet, American Modern Ensemble, Xiomara and Axel Laugart, Troye Sivan, Bridgeport Symphony, Shattered Glass, Landlady, ACME, Gil Goldstein, The Cape Symphony, The Eagles, Curtis Harding, Tenth Intervention, ensemble mise-en, The Gregory Brothers, Cassandra Jenkins, Lydia Ainsworth, Ian Davis, Renata Zeiguer, and Adam Schatz. I am the cellist of Xanthoria (string quartet) and DuoArio (guitar+cello).
I love teaching. I am particularly interested in imagination and inner voice and how they function in teaching our bodies to play. For more on my teaching, click here. Over the past 15 years I've maintained a private teaching studio and held teaching positions at Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, the United Nations International School, and Opus Ithaca. I have been involved in educational programs through the Little Orchestra Society and NY Philharmonic Very Young Composers Program. I earned my Suzuki Teaching Certification from Pam Devenport at School for Strings in NYC.
Currently, I am a Master's student in Arts and Cultural Management at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I substitute teach orchestra and music theory at the International School of Brussels as well as Suzuki and traditional private lessons at my home.
